How SmartHouse.com handles links, sponsors and your email.
As of 2026-10-02, SmartHouse.com is not enrolled in any affiliate program and no link on this site earns us a commission. If that changes, pages carrying compensated links will say so at the top of the page and in the link itself, in line with the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides. We will never present a compensated link as an independent recommendation.
Content paid for or supplied by a sponsor will be labeled “Sponsored” or “Partner” where it appears. SmartHouse.com is part of the HomeManagement network of eCorp ventures; links to sibling sites (HouseIQ, SmartHouse, HomeNews, HomeChallenge and others) are referrals within that network, not paid placements.
We do not publish star ratings, review counts or “verified” badges unless the underlying process is documented on a public page with a date. Product facts on comparison pages cite the manufacturer or a standards body, carry a “last verified” date, and say “unknown” where we could not confirm.
The install-consult and newsletter forms on this site collect the information you type (email, and name or message if given), plus the submitting IP address and browser string for spam protection. We use it only to reply to you or to send the emails you asked for. We do not sell it. To be removed from any list or to have your submission deleted, email privacy@ecorp.com. Page-view counts are recorded by path and referrer without cookies.
